Fr. Oliver Herbel
Priest of St. Lazarus Orthodox Chapel
Fr. Oliver (Dellas Oliver) Herbel serves as the priest of St. Lazarus Orthodox Chapel in Grand Forks and Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Fargo, North Dakota. He is a scholar of Orthodox Christianity in America, patristic theology, and religious history.
Fr. Oliver holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Divinity from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on American Orthodox history, Byzantine theology, early Christianity, military chaplaincy, and ethics.
